My name is Tim Finley, and I am a Christian evangelist.
A Christian evangelist is someone who teaches that Jesus Christ, who was God incarnate, is the only way to Heaven, and that by believing and trusting in Jesus’ finished work on the Cross, an individual is born Spiritually, which ultimately results in receiving the free gift of eternal life in Heaven. Furthermore, a Christian evangelist teaches that a person’s good deeds are the Spiritually born individuals way of thanking Jesus, but that good deeds have no effect on one’s eternal destiny. Being a Christian evangelist does not mean I live a sinless life, but it does mean I believe my sins were all paid for on the Cross.
As a youngster, I attended a mainline church in my hometown of Massillon, Ohio, where I was taught erroneously that good people go to Heaven and bad people go to Hell, and that we would not know for certain where we would go until we got there. Sadly, the terms born again and/or born Spiritually were never introduced. In 1980, at the age of 34, I was taught the astonishing truth, and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior with the full assurance that when I die I will go to Heaven. The process was so simple and comforting that I began to tell everyone who would listen, and have been spreading the Good News since.
I lived my adult life in Columbus, Ohio, where my primary occupation was a stockbroker. Because I am an animal fanatic and also competitive, my avocation was training Standardbred racehorses. In 1983, as a horse trainer, the Lord chose me to establish a Christian fellowship within the horse racing industry. That fellowship is still thriving nationally today. In addition to ministering at racetracks, the Lord called me to minister in prisons, which has been the most gratifying endeavor of my life.
In 2001, I moved to Lake Worth, Florida, with my wife Loveda and our many critters. We still live in Lake Worth and really enjoy the sunshine over the snow.
The photo above is Tim and Wayne Huizenga, Jr. See Wayne’s testimony under the menu tab Salvation Videos. It is worth your time. Also please share this video with your friends and loved ones. In late October, 2012 Tim was evangelizing on the beach in Manalapan, Florida, when he suggested that a high school senior, who he had just met, watch Wayne’s testimony on the young man’s iPhone. After just five minutes of watching Wayne’s testimony tears began to run down the young man’s cheeks and a few minutes following the end of the video he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Amen!
