Don’t Repent of Sin

NOTES: If you are an evangelist, please do not make the HUGE mistake, made by many, of telling someone they must repent of sin to be saved from eternal damnation. That is NOT BIBLICAL.

In this chapter, I probably presented more substantiation than is necessary to convince most, but I am extremely passionate about ensuring that everyone thoroughly understands the truth.

Chapter 31

You need not repent of sin to be saved

This chapter is all-encompassing tackling this repent of sin hogwash, which is one of those many erroneous salvation stipulations that have been repeated for so long that people believe it. I will not rest until I educate as many as possible about this colossal error in teaching. Repent of sin is not biblical. To reiterate, repent of sin is not biblical.

Please help me Jesus

Distraught from hearing Christians misuse the phrase repent of sin regarding the Doctrine of Salvation, I am painstakingly writing this very in-depth chapter to set the record straight. I work hard to ascertain truth and am a fanatic about explaining what I discover.

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 (Emphasis added by me.)

The misuse of repent of sin has caused a massive misunderstanding among both believers and non-believers. Satan, the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), has delighted in the exploitation of this non-biblical phrase.

Constantly hearing the phrase repent of sin to be saved for many years before I was saved caused me to reject Jesus as my Savior. I was deceptively told repent of sin meant I had to stop sinning, turn from sin, or be sorry for my sins in order to be saved.

I knew I couldn’t stop sinning, nor did I think I could turn from my sins (whatever that means). I was sorry for many of my sins, but not as sorry as perhaps I should have been. I enjoyed many of my sins, as do most folks. In other words, I was not desperate enough to become a religious nut, or a goody two-shoes.

Until age 34, I rejected Jesus because the Good News message was repeatedly accompanied by the phrase repent of sin, which I now know is not a prerequisite for salvation — nor is it biblically correct.

The Good News is we are saved by grace through faith, not by repenting of sin. Nobody has ever been saved by repenting of sin!

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

The passage above does NOT say:…………………………….. (continued in the book)

What you have read above is from Chapter 31 of Tim’s new book WILL GAYS GO TO HEAVEN? The non-biblical phrase “repent of sin” is used so often that naïve folks believe it is a prerequisite for salvation. So misinterpreted and misquoted, Tim devoted a very lengthy chapter to explaining the truth. Nobody has ever been saved by repenting of sin!

It is worth purchasing the book just for this chapter.

One Thought on “Don’t Repent of Sin

  1. This is a lie straight from the Devil himself. Repent and be saved, the Bible says!! Look here at the TRUTH lost sheep!: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the Lord;” (Acts 3:19, KJV) and also: “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3, KJV)
